Watercolor Technique, Markers and Stamps

Artful Adventures Watercolor Techniques with Markers and StampsToday’s artful adventure video takes us further into the world of watercolor techniques which we are exploring this week.  We’ll use markers and stamps, and we’ll discover how to achieve effects with the assistance of tools such as water brushes, blender pens, or misting with water.

We’ll also look at a 2-step stamping process, as well.  If you aren’t familiar with 2-step stamping, it is where a completed images is stamped in two steps, using two separate stamps.  These can make amazing images.

There are no completed projects shown today, just the watercolor techniques with markers and stamps. Remember, many of these lessons are to help you use the items you have on hand, however I have included some links to basic tools beneath the video.

Bless this Mess with Junelle Jacobsen

One of my favorite people to watch make art is at it again!  Junelle Jacobson will be the featured instructor at Christy Tomlinson’s mixed media class, “Bless This Mess” which starts Tuesday, October 23rd.  This is a sequel to the first class Junelle did earlier this year.  She is a great teacher and a lot of fun to watch.

I first “met” Junelle at a Layout a Day (LOAD) challenge, and loved her scrapbook pages.  We then were in one of Christy Tomlinson’s first online classes, and we all began to see and love Junelle’s unique and creative touch on all the pieces we were doing.

One of things that is most fun with some of these classes, are the FaceBook groups that go with them!  How fun to see what other classmates are doing and meet people with similar interests from around the world.  I hope you’ll think about joining us!

The Art of Wild Abandonment

I am having so much fun in a new online class with Junelle Jacobson and Christy Tomlinson, called The Art of Wild Abandonment! These two women are so much fun to create art “with” and we are all having a blast.  How amazing that we can use the internet to find new art friends and share techniques, learn new things, and just share!

Anyway, just wanted share the first project with you — it’s radishes!  Yes, radishes in wild and unexpected ways!  Hope they bring a smile for you today!
