I hope all of you who live in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend! Thanksgiving seems to be the kickoff of our holiday season of thanksgiving/gratitude and giving.
Speaking of giving, this year I participated in the Scrappers Give Thanks 2012 project and want to let you know a little bit about it if you haven’t heard of it previously. This charitable event was designed as a time to come together as an online community of scrapbookers, and give to a cause that has been voted on as a group. This was an idea started by Jennifer Wilson, creator of the website, Simple Scrapper. Previous causes include Operation Write Home and Scrappers Give Thanks 2010.
This year’s project gives you a set of tutorials as a “thank you” for your monetary donation to the American Heart Association in memory of digital designer, Eva Kipler, who recently passed away.
Among the tutorials you can find the directions I submitted for the basic construction to make this mini-album from just one sheet of decorative paper or card stock! Donations start at $1, and you may contribute any amount you wish. You’ll find a complete list of the tutorials and donation details here.
Thank you to all the other volunteers who submitted tutorials to the project: Liz Albers, Anna Aspnes, Traci Brennan, Vanessa De Bonis, Katrina Kennedy, Meagan of Meagan’s Creations, Rebecca Mooneyham, Lori Nielsen, Paula Potts, Susan Rizzo, Sharon of Art for Scrapbooking, Dawn Stegall, and Linda Walton.
Donations open until 12/25/12.
