Until our next adventure,
Here is another month in our series on art journal calendars. This idea for June is made in a 9″x12″ art journal. This particular journal has tear-out pages, so it can be taken out and added to the rest of pages that have been done this year. Previous pages this year have been made on 12″x12″ card stock, and the months have either been on a single or double page layout.
Here’s the process for this month’s pages:
It is kind of hard to see, but the misting on the bottom also has some sparkle in it! I love sparkle and shine! What are things you like in your projects?
Listen in and meet art friend, Joanna Grant! Here are a couple of photos and you can see more of her art below the podcast.
Do you ever wish you could get away to attend a workshop that you think you’d enjoy? Or what about a whole artsy, craftsy, scrappy weekend? Ohhh that would be fun! However, that isn’t always something we can make happen. Therefore, Lain Ehmann came up with the brilliant idea to have just such an event – virtually! She calls it TrueScrap, and so far she has held four of them!
How about this class with Julie Fei-Fan Balzar! This is a fun class and you’ll get to watch her in action and learn techniques you can try for yourself. Click here to view more details on Julie’s class.
Or maybe you want more scrapbook ideas. Heidi Swapp shows Your Memory File scrapbooking techniques, and you can get some great ideas on ways to incorporate a lot into a small space. You can learn to take your scrapbooking a new direction! Click here to view more details on Heidi’s class.
You may wonder what the “art journaling” craze is all about, or you may like to pick up a few tips and techniques. Click here to view more details on Erin’s class.

Joanne Sharpe is such a gifted artist and teacher and I would be remiss if I did not share her wonderful free class she is doing now! It is called Five Golden Letterings and is yours to enjoy at no cost!
She is already on day 3 of the class, so if you watch the videos, you’ll have an idea of what you may have on hand that you can already use. You could also use the techniques you’ll see and use whatever colors you want! Shhh… I won’t tell you didn’t use gold!
So far she has shown some great ways to spiff up some wrapping paper, gift bags, and cards! It’s amazing how a handful of supplies can be used to de-stress and make something artful and useful all at the same time! You are sure to pick up a some ideas to artfully add some special touches to your holidays!
