We are on a mission to enjoy our photos and memories in places other than our phones, cameras, and computers! For more information about our Artful Adventures Scrapbook Club,see this previous post. We had our first online LIVE event yesterday. The scrapbook pages featured the Adventure Fundamentals paper pack, which will be available through July 2017, so there is still time to access that information and video.
Order by around the 15th of each month to allow for shipping, and having time to cut your paper following the guide you’ll receive by email once your order is received in my Close To My Heart shop.

If you are like the majority of people, they are digital images and are living on your camera’s memory card, the cameral roll in your phone, or they have been transferred to live on your computer. Adventure Fundamentals
Register for the club workshop and you’ll receive the cutting instructions. Then, on Sunday afternoon, October 9th, you can join me for an online LIVE event and we’ll put our pages together! The event will be recorded so don’t feel like you miss out if you can’t attend live. The vibrant colors in the Adventure Fundamentals paper pack will be perfect for putting together summer memories! We’ll push through October with our scrapbooking, and also have our October LIVE event at the end of October.
You could use the cut instructions on coordinating papers you have, or follow along with me and, with just a few supplies, have as close to a done-for-you scrapbook as you can get!
To make it easy to follow along, future workshops will be sent to you after you have ordered the Close to My Heart paper packs we will be using. You may order each month separately, or all at once. It’s up to you! However, should your order reach $150, be sure and let me know before you place your order, so that you can receive Hostess credit!

Have you ever stamped something and wanted to cut it out, but didn’t want to do a bunch of fussy cutting? I’m sure most of us have! Yesterday, I showed you some cards where I used Close to My Heart Thin Cuts to cut some coordinating stamped floral images.
I thought you may like to see exactly how to use them. Take a peek at this video.
Did you notice how she showed the little magnetic sheet to keep them all in place? Well… I was thinking about the magnetic base that is available to use with my Big Shot, and thought this was a good idea to just stamp my images and put them on the little enclosed magnetic sheet to hold my Thin Cuts in place. NOT a good idea! As soon as I lifted my cuts off, and realized I had almost cut through my magnetic sheet, it dawned on me how goofy that was! However, it didn’t cut all the way through, so all is well. I never said I was perfect! Laugh amongst yourselves!
Today’s Artful Adventure is exploring a technique using stamps and tissue paper. This is great for getting crisp images onto areas where using traditional stamping methods may not give you the desired look. Be sure to see below the video for some additional information.
Since this provides a translucent look, any color of tissue can give you some great layering possibilities.
I used Ranger’s Glue N’ Seal to adhere the tissue, you can use any product you like for this collage-type method. Products like Mod-Podge, liquid matte medium from Liquitex, Golden’s Gel Medium, or anything you prefer will work for this method.
If you like the stamp set I used, it is the ‘Treasured Friendship‘ set from Close to My Heart, and is available in the current 2015-21016 catalog.
